What is COVIDLatino?

COVIDLatino is an award-winning health communication initiative that combines science, art, and community partnership to create culturally tailored COVID-19 information for Latino communities. The project was created to address gaps in access to accurate and relevant health information and to ensure communities receive trusted, evidence-based resources in ways that reflect their language, culture, and lived experiences.

What We Do

COVIDLatino creates accessible and engaging health education materials—including animations, videos, illustrations, and digital media—that translate complex public health information into easy-to-understand content. Through storytelling and visual communication, the project helps communities learn about prevention, vaccines, long COVID, and emerging health topics while actively countering misinformation.

Our Approach and Impact

COVIDLatino brings together researchers, artists, and community organizations to co-create health communication that is both scientifically accurate and culturally meaningful. By using multilingual and visually driven storytelling, the project expands access to critical health knowledge and supports communities in making informed decisions that protect their health and well-being.
