Agua es Vida is a community-engaged research and education project focused on water, climate, and environmental justice in Arizona. The project was created to increase public understanding of water challenges and to highlight how water access, sustainability, and policy decisions affect Latino and other frontline communities.
Agua es Vida develops educational and interactive tools—including visual storytelling, digital exhibits, data visualizations, and community-informed research—to make water science accessible and meaningful. The project explores how water is used, governed, and experienced across Arizona while promoting conservation, awareness, and public dialogue.
Agua es Vida brings together researchers, educators, students, artists, and community partners to co-create culturally relevant environmental education. By combining scientific research with storytelling and public engagement, the project supports community awareness, fosters environmental stewardship, and elevates Latino perspectives in water and climate conversations.
